Join us for a festive holiday lights run through the historic district! We will celebrate together after the run with Gumby’s Pizza* and Hops and Grain beer* !

Meet at the Spring Lake SMGA trail head at the parking lot for the Glass Bottom Boats. at The Meadows Center.
Family friendly event, SMRC hides eggs along the first mile of the trail and we all run it a few times, until all eggs are found!
**Membership status can be renewed at the event! So come along and renew, and have a great night!

Ty is new to our organization but he’s been on the San Marcos running scene for quite a while. Here’s a note from the president:
Hello everyone!
Ty Cervantes
I’m excited to be the president of the club! For those that don’t know me, my name is Ty Cervantes. I am a grad student at TXST and I’ve lived in San Marcos for almost 7 years. I’ve been running consistently since the 7th grade (I’m 24). I’m very involved with running here in San Marcos. I’m the current VP and future president of the TXST Running Club, I work at Core Running Company, and I’m also part of the Running with The Graduate Deans group. I’ve really enjoyed racing around here in San Marcos and wish to run more races alongside the runners of this club!
Pretty much what I want to do as president of this club is run more! I want to increase the size of the club and bring together the runners of San Marcos. More weekly runs, representation at races, and social events. Anyone who runs around San Marcos should know about this club and have someone to run with!
SMRC officer elections will be held on Thursday, January 31 at 6:30 p.m. at Core Running Company, 400 S. CM Allen Parkway. Officer nominations may be directed to treasurer@sanmarcosrunners.org or be made in person at the elections.
