Race Report: Purgatory Trail Race

David Moody, and CRC, yet again put on another great trail run for the 6th year in a row. Over 150 people registered, which is the largest registration the race has ever seen!

David generously donated proceeds to the San Marcos High School Cross Country Boosters.

We, as a running community, are fortunate to have CRC as a supportive local business here in town. Let’s not forget that! It wouldn’t be San Marcos without Core Running. Keep supporting the store!

Let’s not forget how fortunate we are to always have Robert Bermea out there with his trusty camera, as well! If you are a local runner, you know how spoiled we are to have the best race photos around! Be sure to check out Robert Bermea Photography

Race Report: 3M Half Marathon

The word on the street is that 3M was humid, rainy and generally nasty half marathon conditions this year. Kimberly and Walt made quick work of it, though. I would expect nothing last of the awesome running duo, though. I believe a PR happened, as well? Way to go, guys!

I hear that Nick Blomstedt helped with some impromptu pacing as well! Gotta love running friends!

3M Half Marathon! Drizzly, warm, humid morning, classic terrible Austin race weather. Good for an age graded PR, 1:46:55, 8:08 pace! Enjoying the beer garden! – Kim Meitzen

Race Report: Bandera 50K

Eva Sanders is literally my running hero. She heads out to Bandera almost every year and tackles the Bandera 50K. She did it again this year, and get a load of her award! She really is inspiring! She shared some of her pictures with us. Keep on running, Eva! Thank you for sharing!

Another 50K accomplished, thank You Lord for an absolutely perfect day, it could not have been better! Love Bandera! Started out cold and overcast, the sun peeked out at times, but overall PERFECT!
